I want to cage you and raise you. Two weeks before your planned slaughter, I want to begin forcing you to eat more than you normally would. I want to see your liver swell with hepatic steatosis. Realizing your mortality rate is rising, I will lovingly stop force feeding you. As a gastronomic expert, you will realize the fate I have just spared you, and you will love me for my mercy. But then I will begin again, force feeding you, watching your mildly avoidant behavior become more pronounced. I will feel your liver swell again, and my heart will swell with pride, thinking of the fatty consistency of your delicious organ. I will again stop, and let you eat again like a normal bird will.
