I really wish there was a way to bootleg American petrol into Europe. I'd make so much fuckin money ?. Just mark it up 100% and it's still 30% cheaper than what you poor bastards pay.
So you pay $6.24 a US gallon (for some reason American gallons are smaller than British gallons). To put this in perspective, Americans flipped out and lost their shit when gas hit $4 a gallon in 2008. If we had UK gas prices, there would be blood in the streets. Yellow Vest protest x100.

Petrol prices aside though, how does this work? Here you have to insert your card first into the pump or go inside and pay cash. Either way you don't get petrol until you've either paid cash or they've authorized your credit card (usually with a $1 pending charge that is taken off the next day).

You just pump and there's a payment terminal at the pump that you just go into. If you make off without paying that's actually a criminal offence and the station will report it to the police. They'll see that OP did that, use the cameras to get his reg number and use DVLA to trace it to his person, whereupon they will slap him with a big old fine.
