People think it's all hogwash, and when I say people I mean ignorant people. A lot of things people consider obvious about human nature today, it's only obvious because of the hardwork of psychoanalysts. They didn't use it to sell products if it didn't get results and the US government certainly wouldn't keep such profiles on people like their enemies if it were useless. I'm really puzzled by the lack of interest is all.

It sounds like you're talking more about psychology in general and calling it psychoanalytical theory. I don't think the US government or ad agencies are making wild psychodynamic models about sublimation of unconscious psychic energy or anything.
