? I finally told my brother I'm transgender. ?
He took it better than my mother did initially. But I feel that it could have gone better. He did most of the talking while sometimes interrupting me before I could explain certain things. This could just be because of his personality and nervousness. He seemed to have trouble comprehending the nuances of societal gender roles and biological sex, but said it was ultimately up to me. He reminded me to always remember that what I do I bring it upon myself by comparing dressing like a girl to some guy wearing a New England Patriots jersey to a store that hates the Patriots. What sort of broke his worldview was the part where I told him that I take medication (estrogen and spironolactone). All in all, it went okay, but it felt so weird that I feel it could have went better. What can you do?
I wanted to personally thank everyone here who supported me through this journey. I know I always talked about telling my brother this and it would seem like I would never commit to such an act, but here we are. Thank you. I did it. I finally did it!

well. that's cool and I'm glad he was understanding-ish as he's usually a douche it sounds like. I'm sure he wasn't like super surprised but the hormones would be a shock if he didn't think you were that serious. His Patriots analogy is really funny but it was just his misguided way of expressing concern for you. Your neck of the woods isn't the easiest place to be yourself, so good for you. I'm sure after the initial awkwardness subsides this will be a nice weight off of your shoulders! and I'm sure your brother will lay off you a little bit. congrats on coming out again

@previous (jodi !ariasXXmaE)
Thank you and I know. I even accepted that him doing most of the talking (which I expected years back) was just his way of handling bad news. Though he did take a quick jab at millennials in the conversation. lol
