They are, have you not noticed the massive US and general Christian support for Israel? The Christians are rooting for Israel because when the Jews have the promised land and build a temple in a certain place, they think a bunch of shit will happen and then their magical man in the sky ("Jesus") will come back and take them to his dad (also in the sky).
