small independent youtube channels. They aren't the only ones that do this. So do CNN and associatedpressUK for example. It may be that they carelessly set things to aggressively find violations that simply are usage of the same public domain material. Whatever the case, it works out to systematic abuse of small channels by corporate fuckpigs.

Univision managed to do this shit to a channel actually done by a copyright lawyer. He is considering a lawsuit.

and back to the more familiar kind of bullshit, music used fairly in a review of audio equipment frequently brings fraudulent copyright strikes. The weird story here is that the video in question is set to be removed December 31, 1969.
