Topic: I like to set my alarm for much earlier than I need to be up so I can snooze for an hour

Sometimes this involves 3-4 snoozes total

I do this, but then worry I'm just giving myself unsatisfying sleep by disrupting it intentionally.

I feel like I am but then I'm like, who cares? It's so satisfying to snooze.

I used to do that because i really struggled waking up. Set an alarm (with puzzles) an hour early, pop an adderall, and sleep til it kicked in. I still have alarms (with puzzles) every fifteen minutes for like two hours so i cant sleep thru them

I will sometimes take a caffeine pill and then go back to sleep!

Do you use the Sleep app? I have an alarm where you have to shake your phone vigorously for ~30 seconds. It's really helped.

An app called I Can't Wake Up! Alarm. I usually enable a matching task (you know with all the cards that you have to pair up), ordering numbers (surprisingly difficult when you're half asleep), typing a given string of random characters, and repeating a pattern. The shake glitched out on me sometimes. You can also make it so you have to scan a specific barcode, never tried that one!

Oh neat, never heard of that one. Sleep has the barcode thing too, and NFC tag scanning.

Problem is, half-awake me learnt he could just turn the phone off if particularly tired. :(
