I would quibble with Hitler and Kim Jong Un being elected by popular vote. I don't have any faith in the legitimacy of elections in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea so I think we can just disregard that one altogether.
If you look at the 1933 German elections https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_1933_German_federal_election, the NSDAP got 43.91% of the vote. In the 2016 election, Trump got 46.1% of the vote so I think it could be said that Trump in 2016 was more popular than Hitler in 1933 though I'm not sure it's really meaningful to compare the two elections because they were in entirely different electoral systems (with Germany having a parliamentary system where third-party votes weren't "wasted" so there were a bunch of electorally meaningful smaller parties) and the NSDAP had to form a coalition with the DNVP to form a government in 1933. Who knows how 2016 or for that matter any US election would have turned out if the US had the Weimar Republic's parliamentary system?
Like the DPRK, I wouldn't take post-1933 elections as indicative of Hitler's popularity as the NSDAP was the only legal party after the March 1933 elections.

It's interesting because a lot of people advocate for a system more like Israel's where third parties matter but then you just end up with different problems like what they have now where it's endless elections and no one can form a government. I do quite like the Israeli system myself despite it's quirks.
I guess that raises the question then: if the US, the UK, and Israel are all fucked up and not democratic, then what is???

In the far past I used to point out that in a Family of Four where the kids are now full grown teens - Democracy does not work for the most part.
It's a proven fact based on Divorce Records in USA that for just a couple without Kids - Democracy does not work. Does not exist.
