RMS Titanic really was an inside job. If you count the series of mistakes caused by the crew, management, and other boats as an inside job.

It was a plot to draw public attention away from an increase in submarine warfare. That iceberg was framed! Recently unclassified documents reveal that the Titanic was traveling through a zone where U-boat drills were taking place. This was a drill that accidentally went live and they had to cover it up. It's in all in the white papers.

Truther movements seem to rely on easy access to information which there really wasn't back then

There was. There was a conspiracy theory that it never actually sunk, and the ship that sunk was actually one of Titanic's sister ships, the Olympic, which had been damaged in an earlier crash.

The internet is a double edged sword. In other words, those who spread as well as start the conspiracy theories, the theories that might just be true some of the time, they aren't always clean or social. It doesn't matter if you are clean or not, not on the internet.

I'll try it later. Right now, I'm busy threatening and harassing the families of the Titanic "survivors" for being government shills who were paid to cover up for their crisis actor relatives.
