Topic: Attaching stuff to cinderblock walls?

chill dog !!81dzJNNYL started this discussion 6 years ago #94,642

I bought this massive ridiculous vinyl sticker to put on the wall and surprise my boyfriend with. It doesn't seem to want to stick to the walls. I can't tack the corners since these walls are cinderblock. I was thinking i could tack the sticker to cardboard or cork for rigidity but still no idea how to get it on the wall. I'd imagine it's difficult to hammer nails into the cinderblock and dont really want to deal with drilling and tapcons if there's another way

Go to home improvement store. They make an adhesive that will stick to concrete, brick or mortar. Put the sticker on the cardboard and then just use a little bit of that stuff on back of cardboard and it will hold it forever. Just use a small amount on the corners because that shit is a mess to get off once you are done and want to remove it. A spot about as big as a quarter on each corner should do the trick.

Liquid nails. Caulk might also work.

It won't attach to cinderblock because there is not enough surface for it to grip to, you will find the same problem with tape. Only adhesive can help you now!
