Topic: If you survived a quick epidemic that killed just about everyone?

Is it really necessary to move out of the cities? I've heard that because of all the bodies lying around, it's going to get you sick if you stay.

I'd just get a bulldozer and push the bodies out into the country side.

It is not necessary.

I think about this type of thing whenever there is a massive hurricane or something catastrophic like 9/11.

I like to think about hitting an unattended pharmacy and making an epic haul of all the goodies.

I'm way ahead of you, I'll go to the evidence storage rooms.

Wouldn't it be nice?
Hopefully they just made a bunch of kingpin type busts in the weeks before.

I'd steal an RV and go to some place that's not very hot or cold, like the Pacific Northwest (how the fuck am I gonna get the power grid running again???) and live in that off canned goods and whatever I could harvest/kill. The Chernobyl exclusion zone indicates wildlife comes back pretty quick after humans are gone so food shouldn't be a problem. Gasoline doesn't stay good forever so I'd have maybe a year or two of time in which to use internal combustion engines to get my new life set up.

I would go out in the country to find some place with good clean water and air. Sanitation is important which is why all those plagues kept happening before indoor plumbing and water treatment became a thing.

I think it's actually quite important we preserve the Amish people because we need people with real knowledge of how to live without modern technology in case some kind of catastrophe happens. It's like an insurance policy.
