Syntax was actually instrumental in bringing the show format to the United States. After one particularly tipsy Taco Tuesday, Syntax pitched the idea of a dance competition show to ABC network executives. The original conception had different celebrities taking turns dancing with him to see who could keep up the longest. Each week would see two or three guests pit against Syntax, after which he would give them pointers criticizing their technique and noting areas where they could improve. Each season would culminate with everybody coming back for an all-night swing dance competition for the final prize.
As a pilot project, the show format hit a snag. Scheduling problems abounded as celebrity schedules constantly clashed with Syntax's busy lifestyle of share-holder meetings, satellite maintenance, surfing, and posting on Minichan. When casting directors did manage to arrange filming times, many of the celebrities were put off as Syntax would often dance around the studio rambling out Google results about their careers, quoting gossip from fan sites, and listing off personal information he had collected about them.
In the end, show producers Rob Wade and Andrew Llinares made the call to change the format and bring in professional dancers that they could pair with celebrities. ABC studio heads would later issue a press release about the change informing everyone that Syntax had to be barred from the program for life to protect guests of the show from being upstaged and embarrassed. They explained that Syntax's dancing was simply too good and put fragile celebrity egos at stake. As much as they enjoyed watching Syntax dance, they informed the public, they also had a vested interest in protecting the success of the show over many seasons and not wanting to deter any future guests.

Couple months ago or so I had a chance to ask Cathy why I creeped her out. This was AFTER You contacted her to find out what was bugging her about me.
She told me the main thing was that it bothered her when I mentioned the town she lived in - Then proceeded to thank me for the mention of places to visit and places to eat and she has tried a couple and then thanked me.
I could post as Anon ABC in one reply and then switch to Anon XYZ and later Anon #^&*
