it just went blind suddenly after 18 years of life. she was fine one day and then went blind the next. Apparently it’s caused by hypertension which is caused by an overactive thyroid. cats adapt really well because it’s able to use its letter box find its food and water and hop on and off furniture still. It’s slower and sometimes gets lots but it’s still the same cat

Eighteen years is a pretty full life for a cat. I hope you can make her final days comfortable. At least that annoying red dot won't bother her any longer.

My cat ended up being blind for about a year then died of a kidney infection.

the cat is still alive and seems to have better vision now not sure why she went temporarily blind but it still eats drinks and shots and carries on as usual so it’s all good
