I feel it less and less every year. I think it started about age 16. I'm just tired of it. I don't want to give or receive presents. I don't want to hear Christmas music. I don't want to see Christmas tress. I don't give a fuck about Santa or whatever.
It's even worse because there's no snow here. It was 71 degrees today. It will be 82 tomorrow. How the fuck am I supposed to think about sleigh bells and reindeer when it's so warm you have to run the air conditioning and wear short sleeves? ?
I think I'm weird because a lot of people I know, adults - many older than me - are excited about it. What the fuck is wrong with me?

AS Ex-Jew and fresh from December Nights which used to be known as Christmas on the Prado, I have been infused with the Spirit of Christmas and had a chance to spend time and buy several Muslims spiced cider and some Scottish and Ukraine food 2nite with lots of fun discussions of Jesus who the Muslims I spent time with Respected and had so much history re Quran about Jesus and new far more about Old and NewTestamentt than I did

With respect my friend, these things are not the meaning of Christmas, and quite honestly it's unsurprising you feel no joy at the prospect of a season of hollow commercialism and cynical capitalist iconography. Take Jesus into your heart and you'll feel the true joy of Christmas. Bless you friend.

AND AND When I think about Fri/Sat nite and how I wood Never have learned to Dance because as Married sure we wood slow dance on rare occasion - Like the Wedding cause everyone has too - and out at some club - BUT Nothing like what I do NOW - A HUGE HUGE number of great friends and last night people who travel to San Diego for Gator by the Bay - People from Oregon Washington State Texas and a Wonderful super cute just graduated as Scientist from New Hampshire, came to December Nights and only because bad weather kept her from Friday nite - She reminded me that once I asked her for a dance and she said NO thank you - but the next year she wanted to No why I never ask her to dance - Weird and I told her about the rejection and she cannot remember why she said no thank you -
Never the less I did dance with her and later SHE Said can we do a couple more - So I broke a rule about two dances in row with same partner and we did three.
None of this wood have occurred IF I had remained Married - 12 Great years of Marriage but the last 4 Not so Much - Less and Less until I found my self so happy with friends and doing things with them to avoid coming home - Nor did I Fuck around - Was Loyal to a fault - Had some GREAT opportunities and SHOULD HAVE - My wife had no clue a few of her best Girlfriends were more than just flirting with me - Truth is however that I was not attracted to any of them anyway - One I had to ask to go put a bra on and that is for details some other tyme

TWA was just 3 weeks later BANKRUPT - Pilots Credit cards were probably 6 months behind or more in payments -

I should add in my family we do gifts on Christmas Eve, in the continental European tradition (which the British royal family does as well, incidentally). This conveniently leaves Christmas Day free for visiting people and whatnot.
