I've never had experiences with bed bugs, but I know they are incredibly fucking difficult to get rid of once you're infested. I'm sure you can take all your stuff home, but personally I wouldn't do it without some major precautions of some sort, do some Googling, I don't know what should be done, but if you know you've been exposed to the little bastards don't take any chances. Take a picture of them? usually bed bugs bite more than twice. Very tiny marks too. Also, they often bite in a linear fashion.
