4. 48% of American undergraduate university students thought that the country directly north of the USA was France.
5. America is at war in Iraq. 82% of Americans could not find Iraq on a map.
6. The American President Obama spoke on national television about the revolution in Egypt. 86% of Americans did not know that Egypt was in Africa, and thought it was in Europe.
7. The average American adult is 50 or more pounds above ideal body weight.
8. The average American eats fast food 5 or more times per week.
9. 58% of Americans did not know whom America fought in the American Revolution. Of that 58%, half said it was France.
10. When asked to name just 10 American states, a whopping 77% of Americans could not do it.
11. America imprisons more of its population, by percentage, than any other country in the world, including North Korea.
