Got any Homebrew going on?

Actually purchased it just for homebrew! Modern Vintage Gamer convinced me. Mainly I wanted to play NES and SNES, but then I realized I also have many DS and 3DS roms.

3DS and 2DS have a YT app, or they did at one point.

Unfortunately the YouTube app has been discontinued. I've heard that for a while it was still possible to use it, but no longer is that true. I've also heard there was a Hulu app that was also discontinued, but still works. I have yet to find and test it though.

Yeah, last time I used the YT app on my 3DS was in like 2015 or 2016.

I can still use the regular internet browser, (not the DSi browser previously mentioned), to access m.youtube.com although most videos the audio is so damn quiet.

Fuuuuu. I've still got my Wii around somewhere. It's already modded and has some homebrew on it, but I'm not sure how much things have updated since I've last used it.

I was bummed that I bricked it because it was the first modded console I've gotten ahold of besides the old soft mods on ps2

2/3DS is the best portable gaming device for the money. Aside from the huge DS and 3DS libraries, the quantity and quality of the homebrew available is great.

They're going to be off the market before long. DS is in the process of being phased out.

Better stock up for when they're worth thousands in 20-30 years.

I'm bummed for you too. PS2 and 360 are like the only consoles I haven't modded. I'd really love to do my 360 though at some point. I had a mod chip for my PSP, and I was going to have my uncle try to solder it in at the time only for him to lose parts when trying to put it back together. Still pretty bummed about that one.
@1,066,925 (Dodongo !ZQvsveEcD6)
I agree! You can pick up a used or refurbished one for really cheap these days as well.
@1,066,928 (Mr. Augustine David)
I've never used one, but I would prefer a new one these days just for the c-stick. Love using it with Quake and a couple other games.
@1,067,069 (Kook !!rcSrAtaAC)
Sounds like a blast! I remember when we first got a Wii I was that guy who thought I was cool enough not to wear a wriststrap. Almost broke the TV hahaha.
@1,067,081 (Meta !Sober//iZs)
Man, I still think about my iPod touch 2G sometimes. Someone stole it. I miss using the PSP to watch videos. Was a great screen.

I really want to get one of those grip accessory things. Seems like it would make it easier on my hands since it is a bit small for me to use. Some games are more straining such as NES games because only 2 buttons.

That original one is too big and the only way to semi-comfortably hold it is to have your hands sort of wrapped around the triggers and I kept accidentally pressing them

Ouch that sucks! My biggest fear after taking something apart like that is that I can't out it back together properly. Also I don't have much soldering experience, so I've never attempted a mod chipping

@1,067,239 (Dead !Pool..v42s)
Right? The whole reason I wanted my uncle to do it to begin with. At least he did give me money to buy a new one, but what sucks is that I had the original PSP and the new model (afaik) wasn't able to be modded at the time (or maybe even still I have no fucking clue).
