I think I end up using all of them for balance. I remember one time I found this guys website where he documented cutting off his toes for fun (it was some kind of fetish as I recall) and he said it became harder to balance after three toes on each foot were removed ?

He started from the pinkie and worked his way inward. It's kinda funny because I had never really thought about toes, I had assumed they were just evolutionary leftovers from earlier primates that climbed trees and whatnot. But after reading that I noticed that toes actually do help balance and walking a lot which is why I haven't cut any of mine off.

I'm very pleased to say that all 10 toes see regular, daily use. I mostly use them to balance when I walk, but the right toe sometimes gets to switch off my PC's wall socket.

It was like this huge directory of all the most fucked up stuff on the internet. Body modification, weird fetishes, conspiracy theories, fringe politics, gender bending (back then it wasn't mainstream), alien abductions, drugs - you name it, they had it. I spent way too many of my formative years browsing it.
I think he threw the toes away. There were photos, too.

i use my feet a lot. grabbing stuff and throwing it up, closing drawers etc. lately I've been stubbing my pinky toes on stuff because when i take a step my toes do this grabbing thing because im used to walking. barefoot
