for a new driver your rate is suspiciously low, I think you’re either ignorant of the true cost of your insurance ie you paid a large deductible up front and are paying the remainder through monthly payments or you’re on your parents plan and they are making you pay them a pity stipend to them or you have the shittiest insurance on the planet that covers absolutely nothing

nope, quebec has incredibly low insurance rates. would be much higher anywhere else. i think it's because of the mandatory driving courses. 30 (iirc) hours of theoretical lessons + 15 hours of practical driving lessons spread over a year (so that you have to drive in all weather conditions).
that said i did get the most basic insurance ($1million civil liability...no deductible) because the car's a beater. but even the "fancy" insurance was only like $60/mo.
i have a friend who was paying more for insurance a MONTH than i pay for a whole year. that was in ontario.
also it's a 2004 dodge caravan with 270'000km on it. it's just not worth very much haha

yeah aesthetics really aren't a concern for me at this point in time
@1,063,893 (Mr. Augustine David)
fuck yeah
i'm so excited to leave the damn city without relying on shitty intercity buses
and to buy lots of groceries at one time
or transport a piece of furniture
or go across the city without spending hours on public transport
or go to work in an inconvenient location without relying on coworkers giving me a ride
with a probationary license i can't drive with a BAC above 0.00 and i only have 4 demerit points before my license gets suspended. but in 2 years it turns into a full license :)
go get your license dw
how hard is it to get in NL?

Always use your turn signals and check your oil level all the time and
When you change lanes look over your shoulder and do not rely on your mirrors as there is a blind spot which the mirrors do not always cover.

Screw the the test..It's about not damaging your vehicle or getting hurt in your day to day driving. It's important to be vigilant on the road. So many thousands of wrecks every year and it only takes a small lapse of judgement to be one of them. I hope you will drive safely.

Don't do like I do and never wash your car and let the paint get dented and scratched all to fuck and leave trash in it to the point where the homeless people try to give me money because I look worse off than they do.
Oh and the windshield is badly cracked too. I meant to fix that 10 years ago but never got around to it. Maybe someday...

You'll just think I'm being a jerk but probably about 23 is the prime are where people think they know as much about life as anyone else does but really dont.
You won't know I'm right until about 10 or 12 years from now though.
