Topic: Whom has the concrete riverwalk?

Erik !jzYkdX7lIw started this discussion 6 years ago #94,021

I thought it was Becky who lived in a town with concrete riverwalks but is it really McWalter?

USAmericans, what is Ohio like?

It is both of them. It is all of us. Building concrete riverwalks is an American tradition that is celebrated throughout our great country. It unites us as Americans. I believe it was Thomas Jefferson who said, "Freedom will easily stretch to every corner of our great nation that can be reached by a concrete riverwalk. Tyranny cannot hide from the inevitable triumph of American liberty so long as we pave the way to victory in concrete amongst our riverwalks."

What is so bad about concrete? It's durable, weather-resistant, waterproof, maintenance-free, you can bike or rollerblade on it, doesn't get mucky when it rains... it's the perfect material. No one bitches about concrete sidewalks or concrete roads, why is a concrete footpath next to a river the worst thing ever? ?

You can’t grasp the humor of a midwestern shithole town glorifying a riverwalk as a tourist attractive or cool thing to see because you are the target demographic of a concrete riverwalk

modern city have a muddy path next to its river?

Mr. Augustine David replied with this 6 years ago, 10 minutes later, 1 day after the original post[^] [v] #1,063,872

because its natural and not a gross block of concrete. if you want a man-made path so much build it out of wood at least
