Topic: I burned the roof of my friends car by accident with a cigarette

It was such a tragedy. I don't know how i could have fucked up so bad. I was very ashamed but then I thought about what kind of world i was suddenly in, it was a world where everyone was pointing at me even though they aren't, pfff, there's no use in that, it's useless.

Externally hosted imageWhat you need is new friends with lower standards. Like me. I drive a clapped-out old POS with dents, cracked windshield, and paint all scratched to hell. If you burn the roof of my car, I will not care. Fuck it what difference does it make anyway? It's already wrecked. I wouldn't even point at you.

Fuck that's a cool car, I would be extra careful with my cigarettes in them but you are right, low standards is good standards.

There's something very comfortable about owning stuff that's old and broken. I had an apartment once while at school that my roommates and I furnished almost entirely with second hand furniture or stuff we had rescued from the curb when other students moved out. We would have parties and get-togethers where people would spill drinks on the couch or drunkenly knock over tables as we laughed. It's not like we cared about wine stains or ripped cushions or couldn't find a new table somewhere. It was really nice to just genuinely not give a shit.

It is SO COMFORTABLE. I never have to worry about anything. Last year a young lady rear ended me at a stop sign. She just hit my bumper at like 4 mph. I assessed the "damage" (none really, the paint was a bit scratched) and I shrugged and told her to just forget about it and drove on carefree. I know people who obsess about keeping their cars showroom condition and it just sounds so exhausting. The car owns you at that point. My car may look awful but I think it's clear which one of us is the dominant partner in this relationship ?

Don't even worry about using the ashtray. Just throw your cigarette on the floor and stamp it out.
