He's kind of old-school in that way yeah. The only thing it's a gateway for is eating junk food and watching movies and maybe having a little casual sex. It doesn't lead to like heroin use generally.
Still if he's elected and we get decriminalization rather than full legalization is say that is a step in the right direction rather than like the Jeff Sessions/Bill Barr nonsense about weed being bad. I think we probably need to do full legalization + commuting all sentences of people using drugs + expunging all criminal convictions related to drug use from their records + restitution of some kind as a mea culpa. At best we'll get maybe one of those, but that's better than zero!
