talk of the nation and all things considered. I like their content, but the narrarators and personalities are kind of hard for me to hear, since they pretty much whisper all the damn time.

Yeah, their style is quite a contrast to other news radio. It grows on you though, if you give it time.

All things considered eye think NPR is just super. My prime source for news. Car talks good radio as well and pod available

I listen when I'm driving to/from work and school, everyone acts like it's some bastion of liberals, but it's the only radio or tv network to give anything close to unbiased news.

It's refreshing sometimes.
When I first started listening I recall hearing some news bit about a spending bill. They gave the rationale under which it was proposed and presented the arguments in favor of it with some independent commentary from economists who were in favor of it. Then they presented the arguments of those who were opposed to the bill. Then they had some economist on to explain what this might help and what might go wrong. It wasn't cast as LOLZ EPIC BATTLE BETWEEN LIBERALS AND CONSERVATIVES. It was just people talking about the economics behind a spending bill. Pretty cool.
