I am too, to be honest. The 'Our Story' section on the website is ludicrous and unprofessional, but other than that, I think it shows great resourcefulness and a desire to work hard to improve his life. That's admirable. Quite honestly a certain someone...could do with taking a leaf from his book...

Although a closer look at the site reveals one small but potentially important flaw in the project: the 'Menu' section is completely empty. I don't wish to be overly negative or critical here, and call me demanding if you must, but one of the things I'm most interested to know when ordering food, other than whether the chef is a swashbuckler who accomplishes great deeds with a confident swagger, is what food they serve.

That was the constructive point I was trying to make. Ordering food requires a degree of trust in the person who will be making it for you. I feel a biography that is more "serious and professional" and less "delusional nutcase" is likelier to convince people to trust him with what they put in their bodies.

What of it is "delusional nutcase"? 100% of that is true.

Well...I would guess that the website is a small part of the big picture...aside perhaps from an audience actively seeking out reviews on it..
The main thing will be word of mouth advertising from customers who try it out...local folks who tell others about it and maybe talk about it in their circle of friends personally or in their social media clique..

I'll put it this way: if it were true that "Matt has worked in some of the country's top restaurants" (a claim you make without providing any evidence), then a logical question to ask is: why is he now driving around in a 'food truck' delivering sandwiches to students on a college campus? What kind of Lucrezia Borgia stunt did he pull to bring about that kind of a fall?
Like I said it's the tonal inconsistency of your biography that raises eyebrows. You claim to have worked in America's finest restaurants (which if true needs proving on your site, because anyone can claim this) while also writing preposterous guff about shashbucklers and doing things with a confident swagger. It would be like someone offering a backstreet acupuncture service while claiming to have been a personal doctor to world leaders. You come across as a bit of a lunatic.

Well here is an idea: maybe he wants to open HIS OWN FUCKING BUSINESS instead of working for others? Maybe his food is gourmet quality, “delivering sandwiches to students”? You have a closed mind. You cannot fathom anything different from your own small perspective.

A perfectly respectable goal for which I sincerely wish him luck.

Maybe it is. And maybe the "50% Off All Kidney Transplants For One Month Only" offer by "surgeon-to-the-stars" Dr Nick Riviera is genuine. If only there were some means in the world of commerce to check credentials.
> You have a closed mind. You cannot fathom anything different from your own small perspective.
Au contraire, I think a menu-less food delivery service is probably a unique and untapped market and I wish him well. What I offer here is merely a consumer's constructive observations.

Kind of like you saying you are a priest, a claim you make without providing any evidence.

I feel precisely zero need to "provide any evidence" of it on an internet forum. However, the day I set up an online business offering a travelling Holy Communion service is the day I'll feel obliged to prove my credentials.

Indeed I can. Set up a thread for the purpose and I will do so. This thread is for discussion of Matthew's entrepreneurial venture and you're kindly asked to stop derailing it.

At present, it doesn't, it looks amateurish and daft. With that said...
> Wishing Matt the best of luck, guarantee he did the website before buying a truck making a menu etc it’s probably just a pipe dream for him at this point
I wish him luck too, because if nothing else he's always tried new things and has been willing to go to extreme lengths to earn a living (China for example). But first impressions matter in business, and when you're in the service industry, every detail needs to be on point and professional. It's no good saying "the website is under construction" if what currently exists on it is preposterous. That biography needs to be completely re-written, otherwise it won't matter how good his eventual menu is, he'll still come across as a disturbed fruitcake with all that "swashbuckling" nonsense.

Why would your having read the Bible matter to my proving that I'm a priest? What an odd notion you have in your head. I only ask that question when the subject is the existence of God.
Anyway like I said, enough derailing of this absorbing thread. Make a thread for the purpose and I shall provide proof of my priesthood. This is the last I will say of this subject in this thread.
