Oh god no i was completely miserable
Dead boyfriend, dog and seven screaming puppies, no real support system, and school
I was on the verge of mental breakdown for quite a while, eventually did have one or several

That's not my hand but I've got some nice callouses :)
Aw obsidian is cool in and of itself though! It's more common to find débitage, the flakes that are chipped off in the process of making stone tools. You can recognize these by the presence of ripples, a bulb of percussion, and a flat surface of impact. Not all flakes have all of these but it's a good rule of thumb until you learn to recognize them.

Hey that is very cool..What state are you in to find them? Do you dig or find them in rivers and creeks?

Cool deal. Are these like from the ice age or just a few hundred years old from indians or can you tell?

That site is 500-1500 years old. You can tell by styles of pottery and stone tools, and radiocarbon dating can also be done. Iirc the glaciers retreated about 6000 years ago from this region and it's been inhabited ever since.
