What are you trying to imply?

Also, "taking them to the woodshed" is very overdramatic. Rich people are still going to be rich even if they have to pay taxes.

Do you remember when Obama was going to raise tax rates on carried interest and rich people freaked the fuck out and called him a Nazi? This is the level of delusion that too much money fosters in you.

It was going to change the 23% tax on the fee investment managers got from investors to 43%.

Pretty good reason to be a bit verklempt.

He's worth billions of dollars. He'll manage to scrape together enough money to survive if he has to pay more in taxes.

Also do you think when people compare politicians you support to Nazis that they are also just a little bit upset over totally understandable and sensible complaints?

One of Canada's federal political parties, the new democratic party. They're more leftwing than the liberals, who are widely considered to be center-left. Pretty much everyone i know who voted went for the NDP.

Hitler comparison seems like the lowest form of political commentary. Every politician is compared to Hitler. Trump is Hitler. Obama is Hitler. Bush (both of them) is Hitler. Clinton (again, both of them and probably Chelsea too) is Hitler. Reagan was Hitler. Etc, etc, ad nauseam. A new law gets passed? Hitler. Taxes go up? Hitler. Taxes get cut? Hitler. It's Hitlers all the way down.

Maybe I'm jaded from spending too much time in internet political debates governed only by Godwin's Law but "guy compares politician he doesn't like to Hitler" seems like the least newsworthy thing of all time. I'm really surprised the Guardian wrote an article about this.

You've spent the last three years crying your eyes out about any kind of welfare program and pretending Democrats are giving away handfuls money to poor people every chance they get. All while cheering on a guy who is literally enriching his family and his company off your tax dollars. ?

Well for starters it's The Guardian, not an actual news organization so that shouldn't be surprising. Secondly this was way back in 2010 when politically influential billionaires saying outrageous shit wasn't the norm. The fact that it was said at a sort of closed to the public rich person non-profit event added to the narrative.
