probably way, way better. I challenge you to a battle, but I know you know I know you won't accept it, so I've already proved it to everyone and I get to talk shit. right now. bitch. i'll let you know as soon as I qualify for an invitational. maybe you're aware of the builds I spearheaded and developed into competitive decks part of the current meta. maybe you know about "Hello Kitty: Artillery Lizard and Friends," one of the most annoying and frustrating decks for bad players to deal with. centering on the sacrifice loop using the Witches Oven and Cauldron Cat to trigger cards like mayhem devil and Judith, the Scourge Diva to splash large amounts of damage to any target, and Corpse Knight and Cruel Celebrant and Aya of Lockthwain to deal large amounts of damage to all targets.
it may be in the meta, but it's stupid. its funny to play, and it's kinda fun, but it's stupid. it's slow. it can be beat by pretty much any deck that's better. and, like, just attacks it. so it's stupid, and my other one is better. it's called the Princess of Thieves, and it's more like a swiss army knife. individually all the cards have outstanding utility, but in combinations they stack, sometimes exponentially, giving almost every drawn hand playability. i'm using statistical analysis to create a new standard for deckbuilding used alongside concepts like mana curve. it results in a branching network of paths that shows the likelihood of achieving the desired outcome. right now, the outcome is more and more looking like the model is a measure of the likelihood of winning.
interestingly, some of what I just said is bullshit. and the model doesn't compare anything, it's a measure of likelihood of achieving desired end results, not if the results are any good. mana curve informs on cost and efficiency, this informs on the likelyhood of achieving that efficiency. it is proving to be a useful tool for deck building, and if it applies universally for different styles of play, or if it can be modified to applied universally or even generally, then maybe i'm not so full of bullshit, am I, mr smart guy.
we'll see which one of us is the stupid jerk when I win my first tournament and publish my deckbuilding guide and launch a line of t-shirts on my twitch channel, guest starring YOU, who will publicly apologize for thinking you're better than me at Magic the Gathering.
