Yes, I can click "Buy Now" on Amazon.com too. I don't make a hundred topics about everything I buy because my life has deeper meaning than swiping my credit card for another piece of plastic shit from China.
@previous (A)
My Samsung tablet that I bought in 2015 has 3,686,400 LEDs in the display (it's an AMOLED display, so each one of the 2560x1440 pixels is an LED). I think it will take the Kindle people a while to catch up to that, if it took them like 10 years to move from 5 to 25 LEDS.
Where I'm going with this, though, is that this latest Kindle will be forgotten about and stuffed in a drawer somewhere like the last six Kindles you bought, when Amazon introduces the Oasis 4 in a year. It won't bring you lasting happiness. Meanwhile your novel is dead and forgotten about, languishing on your Freewrite (which has also been stuffed in a drawer and forgotten about with your last ten Kindles).

Wow, I am just curious how you think you know anything about my novel. Please do tell about the spies you sent to stalk my novel, or just admit that you know nothing about it. Also, your device does not have over 3 million LEDs lol.
Meta !Sober//iZs replied with this 6 years ago, 7 minutes later, 1 hour after the original post[^][v]#1,054,191
I mean, why not do something I can't? Like write a novel? Or start a restaurant review magazine? Or get published?
The things you brag about are things anyone can do. Yes, I too can go to translate.google.com and paste in pop song lyrics and make a dozen topics about All Star makes no sense if you translate it from English to Xhosa and back to English. Instead, why not actually write a Xhosa language pop song and become a pop star in South Africa? That's something I can't do.
If you're going to brag about something, it should be something no one else - or very few people - can do. Swiping a credit card or copying and pasting into Google Translate is something anyone can do.

How can I know anything about your novel when it doesn't even exist ?
Also nice tacit admission that the Freewrite has been forgotten about and stuffed in a drawer with all the other shiny plastic shit from China you buy and promptly forget about ?

That means it doesn’t exist.

How ridiculous. So if you write a novel, it just disappears and ceases to exist? That is absurd.

To be fair, the LEDs in your tablet's screen serve a different purpose than those in this Kindle.
What you say about it being forgotten in a year is true though. Also the number of LEDs seems like one of the least important features in an e-reader to me, but perhaps this is why Matt chooses to shitpost about it.

LED screen does not mean that each pixel is an LED: the LEDs still light from the side. No machine has over 3 million LEDs.

Not sure you understand how those work. The LEDs light the screen from the sides and back. The 4k refers to the pixels. No screen could hold 3 million LEDs. It would be the size of a house.

OLED screens are not the same as LED screens, which you are describing. OLED screens do not have backlights, because each pixel is its own light. That's their big marketing point, deeper blacks since they can actually turn off individual pixels. Correct me if my understanding is incorrect.

Here's Mr. 181 IQ again, unaware of this new thing from 1958 called "integrated circuits" where many components such as transistors and light-emitting diodes can be formed into a single small circuit ?
How do you think they make CPUs with billions of transistors? Individually solder a billion discrete transistors together? ?
