Colin Ferrel is a capable actor, but not really stellar or anything. Using Colin to replace Arnold... he just can't fill those shoes, inb4 another remake failure like Planet of the Apes.

There have been a few remakes that were better than the originals, but any good examples of that are eluding me atm. It is rare, I'll say that much. If this one bombs it will be the last Planet of the Apes remake for at least a decade or two.

But more often than not, the remakes aren't promoted as remakes, so if you'd never seen the original you'd have no idea its a remake at all.
