Because teachers are low paid and so subject their victims to socialist propaganda

I believe that's something related with openness to experience. It makes sense, if you think about it. If you are open to more ideas than others, you probably are more open to education in general.

Education opens minds to new experiences and lets people see that their small town conservative views are not the only ones possible.

Seems pretty obvious to me. The less educated and well-read you are, the more narrow your world view is likely to be.

But getting a degree from an online university doesn't make you smarter.

But then again, liberals are stupid anyway.

It is. That's why it has that effect. It's the same as a Scientologist discovering that the more L Ron Hubbard books people read and the more Scientology auditing they have, the more likely they are to have body thetans.

You are being ridiculous. There are not “liberal versions” of science, engineering, foreign language, etc. The world is not a giant liberal conspiracy to “get” Trump supporters. That is paranoid and insane.

> There are not “liberal versions” of science, engineering
Right. Because those are things where you are objectively wrong or right. You'll note there is also no such thing as "conservative chemistry" or "libertarian mathematics".

If you grew up in 1930s Germany, went to 1930s Germany schools, listened to Goebbels' radio broadcasts, read Der Sturmer, etc, you would become a nazi. This is how tens of millions of Germans became nazis. The same thing - reading Pravda, joining the Komsomol, listening to Stalin's radio broadcasts, is how people became Marxist. There were never "nazi versions" of science, engineering, foreign language, etc. In fact a nazi and former major in the SS, Wernher von Braun, was instrumental in America winning the space race and putting men on the moon precisely because there was never a "nazi version" of rocket science, but rather just rocket science. The somewhat less successful Soviet space program likewise never had a "communist version" of rocket science and Sergei Korolev, while heavily indoctrinated with Marxist nonsense, was still a brilliant engineer.

Pointing out that some subjects are apolitical doesn't mean that universities aren't engaging in indoctrination just as much as their Soviet or Nazi German counterparts did. You seem to have left out that there, in fact, are "liberal versions" of every non-STEM college major and furthermore these are the only versions offered at universities in the Western world.
