Does making sushi count as cooking?

Yes, because the rice is cooked, and to a very special, traditional recipe. Thanks.

If you take the vegetables for a salad out of the refrigerator does it count as cooking when they heat up slightly? You are technically applying heat to food by putting them in a warmer place.

Not unless you actively apply heat to change their chemical composition. Thanks.

How about Gazpacho? Is making that cooking or is it a kind of liquid salad in your opinion?

Hahaha ok good one. Technically, vinegar is involved, so the chemical composition of the vegetables is changed.

I'm guessing I shouldn't ask about sashimi, deviled eggs, hummus, or guacamole either.
