I'm surprised you'd never had Lilt™ before! There are a few different flavours, all pretty tropical. Did you try a Lilt Zero™ or regular Lilt™?

You aren't necessarily born with it, most people actually develop it (at any age, but normally before adulthood, hence its former name: Juvenile Diabetes), but yeah it's not associated with diet whatsoever.
