No, it doesn't. You can use whichever email you chose with your Google account. You can sign up with a yahoo address, and switch to a personal domain, or a hotmail, in the account preferences. Your GMail (which can also be used to login) cannot be changed, but neither can your facebook vanity name- which also works as an email- just because you can recieve email there doesn't mean you are forced to). I have told Google my personal, and school email, and either work for logging in, displaying in my profile, etc. Stop being a moron. hurrr durrr

No, they require Google accounts, which do not require the GMail service. You can provide any email, and login with that.
