Topic: 85% of the hardwork in my job is socializing

Anonymous A started this discussion 6 years ago #92,484

You start to feel so much better when you socialize or at least i do. It's just so very hard at times. There's so many interpretations and sometimes no interpretations. I just try to get a feel for people, i try to feel them out. Sometimes though, it doesn't matter how well you felt someone out because maybe their personality isn't calling the shots, it's more like the situation they are in is calling the shots. It's so easy to get lost in something with these qualities.

I feel that. My actual job is very easy, but the constant socialization required on top of it is mentally exhausting. I'm not the most social person, so that is by far the most difficult part of my job.

Don't you think it's messed up that the hardest part of the job ain't even the job? Socializing in the job is like a second real job that you do in your fake paid job. Except only your soul, or whatever, gets paid for it.

@OP
If you think socializing is hard work, you probably suffer from autism.
