Yeah, because cities are pretty good for the environment. Thanks.

Also this lol. If you were to total up the waste of 500,000 farms and compare it to the waste of a city of 1 million people, you'd find that the carbon footprint of cities is per capita much less. It's a silly rhetorical point that only looks good to people who don't understand anything

Do you really not know who farms produce food for?

Yes, do you?

Yes. But I think it's people who live in cities. Who do you think it is, and should those people be responsible for the carbon footprint of the farms?

I think it's people who live on farms, in exurbs, suburbs, and cities. I think slicing up emissions as something caused by cities and not commerce in general is a dumb way to frame the subject that makes no sense unless you're trying to score petty political points and not actually talk about the issue.

I would rather know who's responsible for you.

I think we should try a thing where farmers aren't allowed to buy anything or use any goods or services made by people in cities or suburbs, and suburb/city people aren't allowed to buy anything from farmers (the right wing militia people will keep city people out of farmer country, antifa will keep farmers out of the city).

Whichever group has the highest percentage of people still alive in 10 years, wins.

Since only people in cities eat food grown on farms, as I learned today in this topic, I would like to see that as well.

Should add farmers aren't allowed to trade with each other. They can only eat what they grow on their own farm.

A subsistence farming based agrarian society is clearly what we need again. #Make20201420again.
