I broke my leg and got told I won't be able to stand on on it for the next 4 months.
Fibula broke in 2 places, tibia broke above the ankle, 1 big chunk and one tiny chunk was kinda minced during impact.
I got 1 plate, 11 screws and a hook holding it all together.
Currently figuring out how to get to Croatia to relax and heal.
Anyone wanna meet up for new years? Now that I'm pretty disabled, there's no fear I can do any harm with a rusty butter knife!

This is what happens when Minichan posters venture outside: they break bones. It's safe indoors!

No time for love :( was busy juggling software dev. gigs and the little time I had I spent afk. Now with the broken leg, I start to feel like money isn't everything (can't buy myself a new leg, lol) so I'll probably tone down on work when I heal and stop by here regularly even when I go back to normal life. I actually missed MC but it's such a timesink so I kept myself away from it.

Was fooling around at the skatepark with friends after a competition. Crashed like a total idiot, no spectacular double backflippitty whippity crash. Just stupidity.

Nothing ventured nothing gained. I am currently on a quest to test my limits exercise wise but in a safe enviro - 24 Hour Fitness - Even in my full day of blowing off a work day with friends - I took them to a Fitness center I have never been in - Got them all in as guests for One Hour prior to lunch and damn they sure had fun trying to break the machines - Me? Nope I broke a rule and did not go fool on Aerobic. That wood have required change of clothes/shower and that was not in plans for day. But did get some serious stretching in with machines and tools and just plain regular body movement on Matt - Damn typing out the word Matt for that Rubber thing on floor vs the Other kind of Matt
DasSheeple THERE R of course all kinds of things you can do with Arms to keep heart pumping - Ever time I go skiing I always spend extra time making sure bindings and such are exactly as they should be and for sure am concerned about crashing off trail and ending up having to push a help me button on a Globalstar SPOT device.
Without my legs? Not so much so sure I wood take your kind of injury all that well.

The attack on your leg was a plot by the Jewish elite. They know you know about their white genocide plan, and are taking action against you. You must get the truth out there before it's too late.

I'm already working out everything I can. Goal is to not let the quadriceps on my broken leg artrophe (if that happens it'll be a long slow recovery) and keep my toes flexible.
I work out twice a day to pump as much blood as possible through the leg, and I take naps after workouts to kick off growth hormone release.
Surgery went super good, but I'll have to have 2 more surgeries (mostly removing some of the screews and the hook) before I can put weight on the leg. Until then, working out whatever I can.

BUMP! Turns out I didn't post as much, was too busy getting back to normal life.
So here's how the recovery went down:
-4 weeks immobilised in a cast, was training the rest of the leg/body as I could, to stay in shape and prevent quadriceps atrophy
-5th week I removed one screw and the steel hook, one more week of cast
-started putting 15kg pressure on the leg for a week, started indoor cycling
-after 8 weeks from the crash I already put 45kg load on the leg, started outdoor cycling
-12 weeks after the crash I walked like nothing happened
-110 days after the crash I was back at the skatepark
When it all started I got told I wont be standing on my legs for 4 months, Achilles tendon and the tendon connecting the fibula and tibia were pretty damaged, but due working out two times a day, they had good blood circulation and recovered amazingly well.
I am back like nothing happened, and I plan to step up my riding this year, I'm getting old and these might be my last years of pushing so hard.
If anyone here will go through something similar, here are some guidlines for a strong recovery:
-eggs and bacon for breakfast
-work out twice a day, sleep inbetween (growth hormones are released during sleep, that helps bones heal)
-start working out as early as possible, keep the rest of your body fit, you'll need it to push hard during physio
-dont let others do your chores, the more you move around, the more blood circulates, the better
I know nobody cars, but it's been a wild journey for me. I still dont know if I'll ever have the plate and the rest of the screws removed, but they arent limiting me in any way atm. Will do xrays next year and see if it can be safely extracted, probably during winter holidays.
Cheers everyone, thanks for the few encouraging words!

You couldn't take 4 minutes out of your days to come here and say something?
Piss off...
