Sure Syntax has respect for a number of liberal minded people. Bert, as a conservative, has great respect for Donald Trump, the Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan, David Duke, Putin, Ho Chi Minh, Hu Jintao and Kim Jong-un.

Because bert is a Southerner, it's expected for bert to be pro dictators, who are never liberal minded people. Hitler for instance. bert said he used to practice the German goose step, back when he was in the Navy. Or maybe it was his insistence, to goose his bunk mate in the shower, when deployed.
