I've had it with their sub par customer service and shitty marketplace when most of the good are shit from China that are poor quality. I decided to delete my account which in turn will make me richer. However, if you delete your account they block you from your audiable account and I lose over 400 audiobooks so the cunts have me trapped. Reading their email made me realize how these big tech firms are trapping us in E slavery.

Unsurprising though. Your Audible account *is* your Amazon account, in the same way your "YouTube account" is your Google account. I don't know how Amazon would even be able to provide your audiobook library to you if they deleted your account in a GDPR-compliant way (they'd have to be storing *some* PII to tie you to your library).

Also, you could use inAudible (can probably find it on TPB) to grab the files, if you have Audible's desktop app installed.

In the future I swear, "living off the grid" won't be living in a forest without a phone but living in your city without using Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Google and all that bullshit. They sink their fangs into you over time

Yeah it's ridiculously easy to get tied up into their ecosystems, especially when they gobble up smaller apps, websites and products. How many "Facebook-free" folks use WhatsApp? A lot.

Don't No about living off the grid but EXCEPT FOR WORK and Only Work I do NOT use a cell phone anymore - With 2many years of double sometimes triple pagers and up to three Cell Phones each on a different service provider and Interrupts of Sleep and Making Love and you name it Cell Phones have been such a huge pain in my life.
I am forced to keep handy a Satellite phone or three -I get a nice stipend $ for doing that and sure I have Pagers that on occasion I am forced to use but ONLY IF they are willing to pay me Oodles of $ - Pagers still pick up Satellite Signals in areas and buildings like basement floors and underground parking where Cell phone service is shitty or Nada at all.
And YES I sure think about living on my section of an Island I own in partnership with a French Family(Extended) No Cell phone service except with external boosters to Mainland Manila and No cable No anything but power and Propane tanks.
Maybe when I reach age 105
