FOR SURE NOT ME! Dooooooon't read this please as TL;DR

This is a 4Instance - I was once upon a tyme an Active member of a Huge Dance community in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Now San Diego

- Also belonged 2 and still do a Hiking Club - They publish a huge number of Hikes anyone is free to attend - No Charge unless it's a special set of trips to Eu or New Zealand etc. Choice of 30 or more hikes-places to go for day hike or weekend hike including overnight tent camping.

Active as member of a Famous Wine Class with Robert Lawrence Balzar the LA Times Wine Writer at the time (he was flaming gay and one hell of a great teacher) - Not just about Wines - He was once upon a time a Buddhist Monk, living in Cambodia (as I remember) Classes were about 50 people and we took trips for weekend to Napa - Sonoma and Central valley of Calif and trips to France - South of France - Germany - Australia and Chile, to tour famous vineyards. Many of use became good GREAT long life friends and we all remain close to this day - Includes bedroom partners on trips - NOT all as intimate but enough some sure were.

I was a member of a huge Ski club based in LA - Trips all over the planet but mostly in USA - Friends and Lovers a plenty, because along with Dancing - Skiing offers so many Friendships - People always asking If I wanted to fly somewhere with them in tiny private Cessna type Plane and share the cost of gas and accommodations.

One of those trips included and offer for Gal Pilot to put Plane on Autopilot and we could do the Thang in the back seats I declined that offer, as not trusting the Autopilot, plus Planes fly into each other on regular bases - But for sure when it came to accommodations shared, she only arranged one bed to share soo anyway TMI

Dancers have formal clubs or Groups and Friendships?

Will end this with one example of how great Friends from Dance community can be - When Qualcomm invited me to join them and I was in Marina del Rey and was moving to San Diego - Qualcomm put me up in a Hotel for one month while I looked around for a place to live. I was in the Hotel for just a few days/nites and on weekend I went to a house party in Santee CA and in 15 minutes of meeting people -

Along came a Gal I used to dance with in LA and she made a point to come to LA every weekend and she was/is a Cajun Gal who cooks Great Cajun dinners and she said Hey you cannot live in a Hotel because that is no way to live - So join me in Del Mar and she had a spare bedroom and for the rest of the month I lived with her - Only as friends NOR wood she allow me to pay my way - So I went shopping with her but, she wood not allow me to even pay for groceries.

Anyone here without Friends? So many ways to join communities that are loaded with people who have common interests -

Hiking ULTRA HEALTHY and only Healthy people Hike - Finding friends among this group is BEYOND Easy -

Ham Radio - I met one massive number of people - Single and Married they locally do Transmitter hunts as a side hobby -
I met my Wife via Ham Radio nor did she have a License to operate radio equipment. Yet she did Legally (FCC took her to court and lost in Federal Court)

Wine tasting ( One sure becomes uninhibited quickly with drink in hand ) Story to share about copping a feel by invite because I spilled some wine on a gal's blouse (this was NOT exciting to me) memories R - She remains a close friend but in her case dating is not an option, because she far to quickly becomes totally Attached as in wants to marry quickly

Dancing/Music - Friendships I can Rite Volumes and have

Skiers generate massive amounts of Endorphins and Skiers are Healthy as all fuck and one meets new people on Ski Lifts and a Gal will ask if she can get closer tiny dancer on the lift to stay warm - Got one hell of a Relationship as result of that one - Got lost out of bounds early on after learning to Ski with two gals. We helped each other get back to legal Ski area and were totally exhausted and frankly frighted for lives that day - Both gals who were best friends ended up asking me out on dates independently - Their friendship blew up over that - No one is going to believe this story and i could not give a fuck

Skiing is just FUCKING Amazing... Sex after or Not - Friendships from a SKI CLUB Happen so Easily.

Going out to Restaurant openings - As with Skiing that option is EXPENSIVE Very Expensive YET Restaurant Openings end up with mass of Young Single people attending and for sure I have friends who I am very close2 Nor do I do that anymore - Not great for my waistline and Eating at normal hours and dancing after IS NOT an Option because 2 much to eat means not really able to dance on a full stomach

Wine tasting as well does NOT Mix with Swing Dancing EXCEPT for some Reason Lindy Dancers as a Group/Community still SMOKE and Drink to excess which is a shame

However any Newbie guy who wanders into say the Firehouse event (now held at Queen Bees) will discover a Free Dance lesson and many many a gal including some very young gals who will come up to the Newbie and make them feel at home and offer to help them learn to dance and Y? Because a Newbie is considered fresh meat and Gals need male partners OR The Gals will dance with each other, but want a Male Partner which are so much more less available.

There must be 100 ways to meet people and have friends - I am just sharing what has worked for Me - I meet people who go to book signings and I have and people meet and share and even more - Not that I have, but that is one option for those not so much so healthy to Ski or afford some of the other options - Dancing is dirt cheap 2do and there are many events LOTS of Events that cost 0 $$

Coyote 2day on list I showed in another thread - No cover charge No pressure to order anything - One can even bring in a outside drink or coffee from Starbucks

The Big Band dance on list is $10 with 50 minute dance lesson or $5 without and the room will be loaded with some damn good looking people or even some older dudes - I did not screencap Monday's list but anyone can find it with one click of Google

IF Work Permits there is a 90+% chance I will be there under the stars AND the same dance teacher/org from Sunday's event put this event on - Lindy is usually the dance of choice taught

Bottom Line is - If one wants to be healthy and have healthy friends So many Fucking Options Including Fucking
