I always thought that you should give a strong handshake. Well, not breaking their hand, but applying some pressure nevertheless. Since I have been training in a boxing gym, everyone I have met their has put hardly any pressure when giving a handshake, they don't squeeze my hand or anything, just hold it basically. What's up with this? Why do the hardest cunts not give proper handshakes? Are their hands fucked? Wrong, you should always give a firm handshake. A weak handshake is pretty annoying. It's not a contest of strength, it's just the proper way to shake someone's hand. That and you never look at your hands while shaking hands. You always look them in the eyes.

A weak handshake is a sign of disrespect, intentional or not. It means that you think the person you are shaking hands with is significantly weaker than you and will not be able to handle a firm handshake from you.

Actually, I think he may have a good point. If one is socially expected to give a firm handshake, but instead just limply holds the hand of the other person, that could be seen as disrespectful.

I always am grossed out after shaking hands and wash my hands soon afterwards. It's really dirty to shake hands.
