So actually Matt on the gokumming. blog often complained about the pay being so very low - Hours so limited he had to work 3-5 different jobs to get enough hours to live in Kunming. He even posted exactly how little he was making and the other expats said that is the way it is there.
I still subscribe to gokunming because I never opted out from that site and get once a week updates. Rare I look in but I am still registered there.
