Zebra Pen Z-Grip Flight Retractable Ballpoint Pen, Bold Point, 1.2mm, Blue Ink

It writes very cleanly and smoothly, with little effort. It doesn't smear and it dries quickly enough to make copies right away. It gives some of the nice smooth-writing ease of a gayer, more liquid type of pen, while still being able to write through carbon paper easily, write on smoother surfaces without smearing, etc.

Cross Classic. I like the feel balance looks but people borrow and end up keeping them.
In a meeting for taking notes it's perfect - However Dyslexic self uses 5-6 cheap ball points/different colours so my notes to self, do not end up in a world salad jumble - Anything written of total importance is done with the Cross Classic Pen.

No one borrows/steals those in Colour.

Yes for sure they look dainty but the Weight of some Real Gold makes them not only heavy but the Balance is in my opinion Ideal
That said I have NOT tried becky's pen which could be more better. I also have two on me at all times but one is Blue and One in Black Ink. Used to carry the Pencil version but gave up on how often the led snaps because it's just too thin for my clumsy hands.

I prefer writing notes in multiple colours. My options are thus kinda limited for buying the same pen in like 6 different colours without spending obscene amounts of money. Have yet to find a good set I liked a lot.

I wonder how long the ink takes to dry, they are gel pens. It's not so big a deal seeing as I've graduated but I'm still actively learning French. Gonna get a library card and read archaeological reports, that'll help with the field-specific terms.

I've had a few Cross pens that I've really liked but they have an unfortunate tendency to wander off if not watched carefully. I've sort of settled into a philosophy where pens should be functional, easily replaced, and readily available. In this regard, pen ownership should be fluid and communal, much like disposable lighters, secondhand paperbacks, or almost any IP on the internet.

I've been using a cheap Bic Velocity 1.6 black rollerball lately that I'm pretty happy with. I have a bunch of PaperMate Profile 1.4 black rollerballs stored in various caches around the places I frequent as backup pens. I'm often pretty unhappy with gel pens because they often smudge and run if you try to write on newsprint, heat-printed receipts, or cheap paper in general.

You are, in fact, correct. My mistake. Had I checked the company's website, I would have seen that the Paper Mate company parses it as two separate words.

I was looking at the company logo on some pens I had within reach, and it wasn't clear to me if the double heart should be read as whitespace or simply an artistic flourish within the company's brand. It appears the company considers them, as you say, to be two separate words.

I could swear I've seen it as one word before, but that could just be me remembering other people writing it that way without checking. I really did grab a nearby pen to check the name. Either way, we have a glorious legacy as an AT clone board to uphold and making a point of trying to be correct about something so trivial is very much in keeping with the spirit of things.
