Just curious. What kind of stuff do you normally make? How does it not take up all your time to make everything instead of buying some stuff pre-made (assuming you're not trolling about that)?

It can actually be quite easy to cook every day. Of course you can't always make complicated stuff but like you can make halloumi cheese, a fresh herb salad and some asparagus which I had last night.
You can also cook a big pasta dish which can stretch over 2 or 3 evenings and not get boring if you add something simple to it like an avocado

It doesn't count unless you grow the avocado and asparagus yourself, nourishing them at your bosom.
Is the pasta even hand-reared?
Is the halloumi free range?

Free range pasta is must in my kitchen, and I only eat cage free avocado and asparagus.

Yes. I make shopping and cooking an important aspect of my life. I really enjoy it. We all make time for what we consider important.

You're missing out on a beautiful thing and a real treat. A ripe avocado is almost as good as sex

Hmmmm, maybe I should reconsider then.

You're not missing out on much. It doesn't have a lot of flavor and I don't get the hype around it. It's also always overpriced if you get guacamole or whatever at a restaurant.

> I really like mashing an avocado with lime juice and balsamic vinegar and spreading it on toast
Outstanding way to enjoy avocado.

It's so retarded. If it was a mémê directed at people who live well outside their means (yet whinge they can't afford things), then w/e, but I've only ever seen it used as YEAH YOUR PARENTS OWNED A HOUSE AT YOUR AGE, BUT THAT'S BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T BUY ALL THOSE AVACADOS YOU LIBTARD MILLENNIAL FUCK

I mean, there is a certain kind of left wing person who buys coffee every day, eats meals out twice a day, and goes out drinking every weekend, all while earning $30-50,000/year. Those I guess are who the avocado toast people are supposed to be. If you do that you'll never be able to afford a house. But mostly because your income is too low. Even if you cut out all those expenses and lived on beans and rice for 10 years and saved 20% of your after tax income, you'd still not have enough to buy a house in most places. It's a stupid meme regurgitated by people who paid for college and graduate school by working part time at a car wash in 1972. The world is just fundamentally different today and they don't get it.
