Topic: There isn't enough time in the day

Dodongo !ZQvsveEcD6 started this discussion 6 years ago #91,142

24 hours in a day. 8 hours spent at work. 8 hours spent sleeping. Average 3-4 hours fulfilling other obligations; getting ready for work in the morning, doing laundry, cooking dinner, cleaning the apartment, jerking off.

That only leaves 4 hours every day for "free time," whether its relaxing, socializing, or engaging in a hobby or creative project. I desperately want to do something creative, but it is so hard to balance those 4 hours. I'm often so exhausted after work that I can't focus on anything and most of that time is spent relaxing.

Life is bullshit. Thanks for reading my blogpost.

I rarely work 8 hours. 10 is a normal day, 12 is a long day.

I had a job like that for a while. Fuck that shit. Unless the job fulfills you in some way or pays a shit ton, I would find a new job. (Assuming you work a normal five day week)

I prefer a 4 day week. You should try it

I'm considering asking my boss to let me go part time for a little while. Fewer days, shorter shifts, something. I've got enough money saved up to get me by for the time being.

Four ten hour days beats five eight hour days hands down. You'll still be making the same money and you can spend a whole day on your thing, instead of only a couple of hours each day. Most people working longer hours each day want money not free time.

If you can do it, you'll love a long weekend every weekend.
