Some drink coffee like crazy in work but on the weekends at home where there ain't a coffee machine, they don't drink any coffee. So they'll be thirsty for that caffeine and don't even know it.
No, I don't drink coffee. Neither does the girlfriend.

I have one of those too! It never gets used though because it is more efficient for me to make coffee by the pot.

yeah I usually just have one cup at a time and it tastes like way better so it's worth it. not like you can't fill a carafe though

I'm really just in it for the caffeine and bitter, acidic taste. You know how drunks don't really care if they're drinking cheap booze? I'm kinda like that with coffee.

Look at bert, he only likes cheap booze, it just so happens it is also the strongest.

It's actually pretty awesome. I'm sitting here now drinking the end of a cold, bitter pot of coffee and loving it.

ugh I bet it's kind of gritty and has that old-coffee aftertaste

I love it that way though! It makes life easier because I rarely complain about office coffee or diner coffee.

If I ever get so hopped up on caffeine that I start threatening to rape and kill people, then I may have to reevaluate my habits.

That's interesting. Why do you make it in this manner?

It's quick and easy. The easiest way to make just one cup at a time. I have one like that, but we have a coffeemaker at home too. I miss my french press though.

How is it faster and easier than a Kuerig?

It doesn't require specially packaged cups and a machine to do something that can be done with a plastic funnel?
Kook !!rcSrAtaAC replied with this 6 years ago, 3 minutes later, 20 hours after the original post[^][v]#1,036,155

But you already use a machine to heat the water, and they make reusable cups that you refill with your preferred grounds
I'll admit, it's cool looking though

I'm sure a Kuerig makes sense at some point for some people. It must, right? They sell pretty well. You can fill a coffee machine or a paper cone with whatever you like too. With a french press you really just need access to coffee and a way to heat water. Anything else should provide some kind of trade off in time or convenience. Kuerigs have always struck me as expensive, overspecialized kitchen gizmos.

but the keurig sucks, it's hard to clean, the coffee isn't that good, they clog and break etc

A keurig is expensive and i like having the ability to make a lot or a little coffee, depending how i feel. We do have a coffee maker at my apartment also but i kind of prefer the pour over (altho i prefer french press to either). Also my roommate is usually gone by the time I'm up for work (when im even home...) so it doesnt make sense to make a whole pot of coffee.

It is hard to clean, that is true. I'd imagine that your way is good if you have a fine taste for coffee and are particular

I like instant coffee because you can put like three tablespoons I'm a big mugs and over come caffeine tolerance.
