Frankly and I am being very serious here - The ONLY Cell phones that worked during Hurricane Katrina were Globalstar and Iridium Satellite phones and the very few large setups that take up a full trunk of car to transport for GEO Satellites which suck at 2 Way communication because of the time delay in both directions.

The recent Mega Fires in California and other places - Cell Towers burned down to the ground and deeper. No Regular Cell Service - So again Satellite Phones.
Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile systems were jammed up with massive call drop outs during the Boston Marathon terror attack. I could go on and on about poor or no service from Cell Technology .

What does work with a very VERY great track record are Land Lines. Ma Bell set the Gold standard for a robust underground system with a Ring pattern so if one section were to blow out - Say an underground natural gas explosion there is NO Loss in data because the ring will repair itself is Rendunt as all fuck and has parity check that just keeps telling the other end - Hey you sent me bad date so please Re-send until the ring gets it rite.

Exceptions of course and Ma Bell system does NOT run on the Mains - They run 100% of the time off of batteries that are under constant charge from external power and IT it fails Generators of a huge size fire up and keep the battery charged. For how long can this work without outside power? Don't ask and I won't tell but its a nice long time and of course one can bring in more Diesel to keep the system working for years without outside power.

Oh AND Ma Bell will provide all that you need and MORE including Gigabits of data connect. Many business run off of Ma Bell including MC - Substitute Some other provider like one of my Fav Vodafone.

Just in tyme Clone - Of late there are a few quality Clone posts here by Syntax. Been so busy yet so happy cept for new running shoes are not what they should be and Newer are on order with long delivery and might be the China issue but factory says something about relocating in USA. So I have made some Engineering changes to these NEW ASIC Not going to show pic cause I liked them in store and in San Francisco they failed me in pain in only 4 mins on the trail - Made it for 8 miles with blood to deal with - Found a way without Mole Skin and bandages to struggle to the finish line.

Photo is the Brooks Beast. 's and in a few weeks unless factory lies I am BACK to My Fave.

One I never got back to had mixed CopyPasta that included me learning to Fly? ONLY On a Simulator of the very best kind and 100% of the time I crashed multiple types of Aircraft on the deck or rolled off into Ocean A Blue - Me and Helicopter which I wood fly cause well cause - 60% confidence I wood do well with that contraption

Now they have new much easier Gyro stabilized tail rotors and Primary blade controls so hummmmm - Naw no tyme for
