Topic: Start pretending i live in Soviet Russia and need extra courage?

Anonymous A started this discussion 6 years ago #90,817

there's days when I really don't feel like taking care of business. So I thought, maybe on a Saturday morning, I'd eat something hearty and drink a little bit of vodka, just a little bit to calm the nerves and let me focus on the stuff that needs to be done.

The trick is to do it culturally and totally not in a unhealthy way. So how would I go about doing that, i wonder?

Is this that cultural Marxism that all the whiny boys make faces about so much?

Daily life in Soviet Russia was not that hard. You had a job, you did it, you had a decent apartment, had food, vodka, etc.

Okay but there's a cultural way they drank early in the mornings right? By they i mean the ones who did drink early in the morning.

Yes. Vodka is a proud cultural trait of Russians. They drink it like water, all day long.

That's why they all die early

That is a part of it, for sure.

I like this rebranding of alcoholism as a "cultural way" ?

Don't get pissy with me, not after i added that last part about only referring to the those of them who do it, meaning that i know most don't. Just don't do that.

There's some good laughably inexpensive and marinated mackerel that i can get my hands on. Thing is that I don't like the after taste, it lingers for too long. Maybe a little bit of vodka is the answer to the lingering after taste?

A little bit of vodka is the answer to so many of life's problems. I don't know why more people don't see that.

Drinking a little bit of vodka early in the morning once a week might seem alcaholish but there ain't no terrible consequence to this possible alcaholic behavior.

@1,033,488 (B)

It just might be in this case

Mackerel is a good hearty food to eat, so I'm really being responsible and inventive by figuring out a way for it to be in my life.

Mackerel is known to increase the spectrum of autism though. Maybe only eat it in moderation, like early in the morning once a week.

Eating lots of tinned mackerel is a good idea if you want to have heavy metal poisoning.

Well yeah special events. Maybe just eat mackerel on your own and your family members birthdays, and other annual occasions. I'm a member of the Steelworkers Union, and we only have mackerel at biannual meetings even though there are monthly meetings.

It's fun have a drink of vodka and to
chat with the women as we stand in long lines for toilet paper and bread.

For the true Soviet experience pickles are essential. It's the one thing that can not be missing on a drinking table
