i really like the lone ranger and tonto fistfight in heaven, tbh, i'm definitely not a books person by any means but i really like the tone of it, it's bleak but not unforgiving. also good omens is on TV now and i heard that was a good one but the book was better but i mostly just hang out with people who'd say that about everything? so grain of salt

Have you ever read any Philip K. Dick? I feel like Radio Free Albemuth would really jive with your paranoia and general mistrust of people. It's about people being guided by an alien satellite that talks to them in their heads and gets them to subvert the US government. It's got AntiChrist symbolism and a fictional America taken over by a right-wing populist movement!

I'm going to read a bit of this and see if it's worth buying. In the review on Amazon it says that the differentiation between characters is confusing and one should stop trying to do so and read the book for its voice. Some a suggestion worries me
