“The US Department of State has provided smartphones preinstalled with dozens of free translation apps for diplomats to take advantage of when communicating in languages other than English,” says Secretary Mike Pompeo. “The State Department can easily communicate with anyone now just by using a free app. We have saved millions of taxpayer dollars by laying off our translators and replacing them with free apps on smartphones.”
