One cannot buy low and sell high when the market is high.
Crashing Market means one can buy stock at a huge discount. How does one know for sure it will go up? History. One looks at price vs 5- 10 15 30 years and notices that each time it crashed it ALWAYS came back to a much larger value.
There are of course much better examples than this one - One wants a company to really CRASH so you yes you can afford to buy.
